So good they’ll leave you pine-ing for more! 🌲 # 427: Irish Cream Pinecones

If only pinecones dripped with chocolate in real life.

The inspiration for these used brownie as the main event, but my December freezer clean out gifted me a single layer of chocolate cake and some Irish cream buttercream. Gotta make room for Italian rainbow cookies (if you know, you know)!

Luckily the coconut snowstorm that blew in with the pineapple guava truffles hadn’t melted yet.

Have you ever thought about how rosemary tied in a circle looks like a tiny wreath? I’m gonna make some tiny red bows and plop them on all my Christmas gifts this year!

Don’t mind me sorting through a pile of sliced almonds to find nicely shaped ones.

It always feels a bit sacrilegious to crumble up a perfectly good cake. Just close your eyes and whisper “sorry!”

Could I have made them smaller so they could go on sticks? Yep. Did I make quadruple-sized cake pops instead? You know it.

She’s giving adorable hedgehog.

Dare I say they’re cuter without a chocolate coating?

Dark chocolate mixed with coconut oil, otherwise known as homemade magic shell!

If you’re willing to wait, you can pop them in the fridge and then add more chocolate coating to the undersides of the almonds using a little baking brush (or gravity). I’m sadly not that patient so left them with an artsy drip design.

Happy munching!
