Caramel Apple Rings

Puff pastry apple cuties to kick off fall! # 361: Caramel Apple Rings

I’m currently in wonderful, moody, foggy Scotland and it’s getting me so excited for fall back home!

I made these mini pastries before heading out on this trip and I wish I had brought some with me. Crispy, flaky crust, filled with warm cinnamon sugar apple slices, topped with a drizzle of salted caramel.

The mini leaves and stem might be the best part, not gonna lie.

It almost looks like a Christmas wreath but we can’t get too far ahead of ourselves! These can go hang with 2020’s apple cider doughnuts and 2017’s pumpkin pie oreos.

The smallest mise en place ever (just missing the cinnamon sugar, shhh.)

Each apple slice will need a few pastry strips, so cut more than you think you need.

Bam.

I should really find a new name for the cannoli forms because they’ve done way more odd jobs in the kitchen than the few times I’ve actually made cannoli. They punch out apple seeds perfectly!

Cinnamon sugar pixie dust.

Lil apple mummy.

Ta-daa!

Why have one when you can have four?

The lineup.

Happy munching!
